NewsUK contains 115 newspapers and magazines falling under three categories (see the full content list here):
A small number of articles cannot be reproduced in NewsUK; articles that, for legal reasons, have to be removed or articles that were originally syndicated from other sources in the print copy. News articles are fully keyword-searchable and can either be printed off in a user-friendly format or e-mailed for later reference. NewsUK also enables you to bookmark each article individually with the help of durable links.
For more in-depth information on how to use NewsUK, take a look at our User Guide which takes you through every aspect of NewsUK in a step-by-step way.
NewsUK is updated every weekday. Most newspapers are added to the service the day after publication, so there will always be a time lag between an article appearing in the print edition of a newspaper and its appearance in this service. Headlines on the home page are selected from amongst the latest articles added to the service.
News Topics pages are updated once a week with recent headlines, and with new images and background reading once a month.
NewsUK is the ideal resource for UK public libraries. It is suitable for a wide range of users, from professional researchers to people who are new to the ‘net.
